Below are some of my self-published digital books. Some are available in paperback on Amazon.
Recent college graduate Adriana Ruffo meets Dante — a popular young visual artist living in Los Angeles—on a night out in New York City and the two hit it off. Adriana’s beauty and personality captivate Dante from the start—and he wants her at any cost. For Adriana, the attraction is mutual. But it backfires when she discovers Dante has a questionable reputation.
No matter how many times you hear someone say, “it’s going to be okay,” it is even more reassuring when you realize a million other people can relate with your struggles. We’re more open to showing our wounds now. We’re HEALING together and sharing our mental health journey. And we’re doing that through motivating, encouraging, empowering messages and self-love affirmations. It’s a movement that I’ve proudly joined. So for all of us word lovers, and those needing a word of encouragement or comfort, this is for you.
Quotes from the book: “It is one of those weird mysteries of life, that when you’re not looking for something that’s when you find it. I didn’t seek love, but one day, there was this open path leading to it and, without hesitation, I took it. And when I got there, it was beautiful and I felt…jazzed. Life suddenly made sense. Someone warned me that it was like a highly addictive drug, and I said to myself, ‘I think I want to be high.’”
They tell us to be careful with our words because they cut deeper than a knife. But without our permission to be powerful, do words really have any meaning? ‘Daddy’ may have a sweet connection to many people, but to others it may be bitter as gall. In this relatable brief story, the narrator tells us about the struggles of growing up with a single mother and reconnecting with a father who was never present.
They say all is fair in war and love. All the irrational decisions we make to keep someone in our life when we’re under their spell or to save ourselves when we fall out of love — the grief and the bliss of it all is validated after all.
And in these times of “situationships,” the stories couldn’t be more relatable. ‘Seduce Me to Use Me’ tells a personal anecdote about that kind of one-sided love; how it emerges and, through a series of events, shows us what makes it unsustainable.
This short book is about that “boobless” life in America; stories of how society shames small-breasted women and perpetuates the belief that when it comes to our chest, bigger is best. This is a message of support and empowerment, reminding all women that they’re more than their breasts — and that they can certainly look like a star in their own “flat” chest.
Convinced by the praise she receives from family and strangers, a young woman decides to attend model castings to test her luck. One of them leads to what she believes could be her big break, but what she encounters instead is a fraudulent scheme. This a story of deception, crushed dreams, shameless crooks — and a lesson to be learned.
