A story is born…
When we do things we shouldn’t do.
When you look at me the way you do.
When he pays hush money for his sin.
When the doctor calls about your skin.
When you fall for me before her eyes.
When despite the lies you have butterflies.
When you quit your job and travel seas.
When she’d die for you and you can’t see.
When suddenly you have more mouths to feed.
When friends get mad if you succeed.
When your double life ends up on the front page.
When everything you do seems to be an outrage.
When they’re born rich and call it “self-made”.
When you end up living in Miami-Dade.
When as a “commoner” you become a queen.
When your father is more of a “could have been.”
When they get caught mid hanky-panky.
When the cat hides in your pantry.
When they bring their holier-than-thou to a family event.
When you upset your followers because you vent.
When a small kid sits next to you on the plane.
When the country’s still paying for the 2016 campaign.
When you let her go.
When you let him in.
When no one knows
what the f*ck is happening.
So HOW is a story born?
It is born out of ordinary things.
The juiciest rumors, your fantasies,
their darkest secrets, our sweetest sins.
