Too shallow to put a woman first, some men never grow up, making us feel cursed, when it’s because of them we hurt.

“Mormonin’ it” all the way, some like to pretend it’s okay to mate a dozen roses for the eternities while you, women, can’t.

Some men are scared to seize the day with the one who’s always been by their side; the one who’s cried and tried to make things right; their true ride or die.

Some men want to have them all, act like they’re single when they have one at home. And when she sleeps, it’s the side piece they call.

Some men like them submissive for a good use; get a marriage license to seal the abuse.

Some men publicly worship girls other than their own, while in their bed she’s all alone. Lie to your face, take you for a fool, betray all conditioned human decency rules.

Some men like the high school chase and — I’m sorry, but if that’s the game, we’re going to go at my own pace.

Some men are too selfish to listen to a woman’s silent plea to set her free, to let her see a world where she’s not confused. But to let go, some men will refuse, even though they know she’s no longer their muse.
