Intentions so good they seem bad

“You learn something new every day” is not a cliche. It’s far from being it. And guess what? I learned that, not in school, not at home either but through own experiences one casual day. You do learn something new every day.

You could have lived half a life without realizing how real everyday actions and popular sayings are until they happen to you. I’ve learned so much this year I should call myself a scholar, but no; still a student of life.

Recently I’m learning about good intentions. It is not the simple thing you thought it was. It seems like everything you knew about everything really is just…not true because perception is what rules the mind, and you have no control over how other people perceive you. Logic isn’t logical anymore.

Your brain will sometimes only allow you to see what you want to see. Some things are a hard concept to grasp for some. And when it comes to good intentions, not everyone will sense your goodness. Your positive intent can and will be twisted. Good intentions are not enough. Should you go above and beyond to prove that you’re enough? Honey, I’m saying, if it’s clear and they can’t see it, move along.

I could go on, but I’ll stop here with another “cliche” phrase:  no matter what you do, you will be judged. No matter how good you prove to be, you’ll always be the antagonist in someone else’s story. As long as you know who you are and what you stand for, now that’s what matters.
