Proudly owning my words
My thing is, it is never about telling anyone how to live their lives. It’s about spreading the wisdom and knowledge that I know I’ve gained, which I proudly own. It’s about the things that I know have worked for me and which, sometimes, are simply basic “common sense” — and also things I should have done —hoping to uplift someone along the way. That’s it!
If you connect with my words, that’s soooo GREAT. If you don’t, it’s also OK!
Being a writer isn’t much of a lucrative business in modern times, unless you’re a celebrity [eye-roll]. It always baffles me how people so desperately prefer to read stories from / about people who don’t write their own stuff…but this is us now?
So, believe me when I say I do it all for the love of art, my passions, and for the love of words. A part of me is always wishing to reach a bigger audience (and hey, a million bucks wouldn’t hurt either), but having a small tribe is still quite humbling. That doesn’t mean I won’t keep chasing dreams while writing things and dreaming BIG. 😉 keep at it, you too.
